I never thought I would be willing to pay this much for a clay pomade. And yet, here I am. The reason I love this stuff is because a dime-sized amount will hold my hair in place all day (I rock a hard-part comb over hairstyle with length on the shorter side).
The other reason I love this stuff is because the list of organic ingredients keeps me convinced that I'm not damaging my hair or scalp by using this on a daily basis. I would venture to say the ingredients are actually nourishing my hair and scalp. I'm a man in my mid-thirties and I still have a full head of hair; I want to keep it that way, so factors like this are very important to me. The list of chemical ingredients on every other clay pomade I've looked at (both cheaper products and those priced the same or more expensively) was long and extensive. This leads me to believe those other products probably aren't good for my hair or scalp. Also, after having used it for a few weeks, I can honestly say that my hair and scalp both feel great.
Now let's talk about the scent. The rugged scent is the only one I've smelled and I'm a huge fan because it smells natural and it's not overpowering. It has the smoothness and richness of vanilla and tobacco, with a very light hint of sweetness.
The container itself is modern with earthy colors, good choices for fonts and graphics, and it's made of glass. And they took care when packaging the product for shipping. No chance this container was going to arrive cracked or damaged.
This will be my only hair styling product moving forward. What a solid product.
